Game Combiner is a free game-discovery site at gamecombiner.com. This page explains what we store and why. It is written in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
Anonymous play id. If you never sign in, the browser keeps a short random id in localStorage so discoveries and collections can stick to your device.
Google sign-in. If you continue with Google, Firebase Auth gives us your Google user id, display name, email, and profile photo URL. We use that to keep your discoveries across devices and to show your name on the leaderboard.
Gameplay data. Combinations you try, games you discover, feedback (+/−), achievements, and collection state are saved on our servers (Google Firestore).
Pro status. If you buy GameCombiner Pro, Stripe processes the payment. We store that you are Pro (and related checkout ids from Stripe’s webhook). We do not store your full card number.
Steam profiles you paste. Friend Blend, Library Constellation, and wishlist/library filters only run when you enter a Steam profile URL or id. We use that to fetch public Steam data for the request. Do not paste someone else’s private profile without their okay.
Product analytics (first-party). We record basic usage events in our own database: which pages you open, when you combine games, open Pro features, change sorts, and similar in-app actions. Events include your anonymous or signed-in id, page path, referrer, and small non-sensitive details about the action. We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party ad trackers.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not run ad networks or sell your play history to advertisers.
We are not affiliated with Valve, Steam, IGDB, or Twitch.
Who helps run the service
Google Firebase / Cloud Run / Firestore - auth and app data hosting
Stripe - Pro checkout and payment processing (Stripe privacy)
Vercel - static site hosting
Steam / IGDB - public game metadata used for recommendations
How long we keep data
Account and discovery data stay while your account or anonymous id remains in use. You can ask us to delete your signed-in account data. Stripe keeps payment records as required for their own compliance.
Kids
Game Combiner is not aimed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13.
